ACM warns about natural gas dependency in 2050

The Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) has recently issued a warning to households that are still dependent on natural gas. Despite many homes already using less gas – and some even being completely gas-free – there are still numerous households that cling to natural gas.

ACM states that if these households are still reliant on natural gas in 2050, costs will rise significantly. The transport of natural gas is expected to become four times more expensive, which could exert considerable financial pressure on households that do not switch to sustainable energy sources in time.
