AI Day Singapore: NVIDIA's Impact on AI in Southeast Asia

During the NVIDIA AI Day Singapore, held on September 22-23 at the Raffles City Convention Centre, NVIDIA and its partners present groundbreaking AI developments in the Southeast Asia region. Participants will have the chance to attend hands-on training, join sessions led by experts, and explore advanced tools that can accelerate their work in AI and high-performance computing.

NVIDIA positions itself as a driving force behind the transition of AI applications from pilot projects to large-scale production. In collaboration with governments in the region, NVIDIA focuses on areas such as enhancing government services, developing accessible AI applications for citizens, and supporting startups and researchers to strengthen national AI capabilities. Examples include the deployment of NVIDIA's Nemotron models in Singapore, where the Home Team Science and Technology Agency is working on AI for public safety.

The collaboration extends beyond Singapore. In Malaysia, YTL AI Labs is refining the Nemotron models for enterprises and citizen services. In Thailand, iApp Technology is adapting these models for legal applications. In Brunei, Antrique has created an AI innovation platform to increase productivity in the food sector. NVIDIA's Cosmos models are also being used to develop smart cities in the region, with applications ranging from traffic operations to passenger flows at airports.

Additionally, Sea Limited, a technology company founded in Singapore, adopts the NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform, further enhancing their AI capabilities. With this technology, they can develop AI models at a larger scale to improve services for millions of consumers and small businesses in Southeast Asia. Sea is already using AI across various platforms such as Shopee, enriching the user experience, and Monee for fraud detection and credit risk assessment, thereby increasing access to financial services for traditional minorities.
