Claude Duet, ChatGPT Dots: which AI assistant will you choose?
The developments in AI assistants enable users to automate more and more tasks. The latest generation of assistants like Claude Duet, ChatGPT Dots, Meta Muse, and Grok Bot are designed to work efficiently in the background and only come into action when needed. However, these assistants differ significantly in terms of availability, integration capabilities, and the types of tasks they are intended for.
According to a comparison by ExplainX, users can quickly determine which assistant best meets their needs and capabilities. An important point for Dutch users is the availability of these solutions, as some assistants have primarily been launched in the United States or are only accessible through a waiting list.
The four assistants offer unique functionalities: Claude Duet focuses on work overviews and business tasks and is currently accessible via a waiting list for American Pro and Max subscribers. ChatGPT Dots is more focused on recurring tasks and collaboration, with dependence on subscription and regional restrictions. Meta Muse aims to organize daily tasks, while Grok Bot distinguishes itself by executing tasks through linked services and accounts.
An important aspect of these new assistants is their ability to 'work in the background'. This means that there are different permissions per service, with Claude Duet being able to create a morning overview and Grok Bot capable of scheduling appointments. It is crucial for users to clarify in advance which tasks can be autonomously performed by the assistant and what the approval procedures are. When selecting an assistant, it is recommended to start with a specific recurring task and then evaluate it based on access, ease of use, and costs.
For Dutch users, availability is a significant factor. Currently, most assistants have not yet been fully rolled out in the Netherlands, and there are regional restrictions that may affect access to the services. As a result, there is no clear choice for the best AI assistant, given the current introduction phases and rapid changes in prices and capabilities.
