Drones in Ukraine: A New War Technology
In the current conflict in Ukraine, drones play a crucial role. According to the Ukrainian Third Army Corps, they account for as much as 80 to 90 percent of casualties. Their deployment has fundamentally changed tactics in the war. The Ukrainian armed forces recently deployed heavy drones to drop explosive ground robots deep behind Russian lines.
The operation took place on September 21 and occurred more than 10 kilometers behind the front. This new strategy seems to be a response to the increasing pressure exerted by Russian troops. By using drones, Ukraine can effectively reach targets that are otherwise difficult to access. Additionally, robots are being employed to clear mines, paving the way for advancing infantry.
The application of these technologies not only demonstrates the innovative capacity of the Ukrainian armed forces but also highlights the shift in modern warfare. These developments may encourage other countries to reconsider their military strategies and investments in drone technology.
