Gamma AI: The AI Presentation Maker Examined
Gamma AI is an innovative online tool that uses artificial intelligence to quickly and efficiently generate presentations, documents, and web pages based on short prompts. In this review, we explore the functionalities, pricing, and user experiences of Gamma AI, including its operation with PowerPoint exports and support for the Dutch language.
During our test with Gamma AI conducted on October 26, 2026, we were surprised by the speed at which a complete presentation of eight slides was assembled in about 2.5 minutes. Users only need to input their prompt, answer two additional questions, and the system automatically generates a structured plan and corresponding slides. Although the formatting is tidy, it is essential to review the generated text yourself, as it can sometimes be too formal or unsuitable for the target audience.
Gamma AI offers a free plan with 400 credits upon registration, allowing users to create a limited number of presentations. For extensive functionalities, paid plans start at €8 per month. An important point to note is that the export to PowerPoint works efficiently, but some elements, such as charts, are saved as images, making them non-editable as charts.
Overall, Gamma AI appears to be a valuable tool for those looking to quickly create a first version of a presentation, but it is less suitable for users who require fully customizable formatting and charts within PowerPoint. The tool is ideal for freelancers, marketers, and students who want to present their ideas visually and quickly. It is advisable to first try the free plan to determine if the text and formatting meet your expectations.
