Grok, Cursor and X Premium together in one subscription
The technology company xAI, known for Grok, programming assistance Cursor and X Premium, has announced that it will bundle these three services into one new subscription. The revamped X Subscription is available in five tiers, ranging from free to approximately €179 per month. The middle tier offers users a significant saving of about 67% compared to the individual subscriptions.
On October 12, 2026, xAI announced these changes. Customers can sign up for the new service immediately, while options for existing subscribers will follow in the coming days. The subscriptions range in price from $0 to $200 per month, and each paid tier provides access to a shared AI credit that can be used in Grok and Cursor.
The benefits of the new subscription are substantial: the Premium level costs $30 (approximately €27), meaning that users now pay one-third of the costs compared to the three separate subscriptions that previously totaled $90 (around €80). Customers also have the option to purchase additional credits when their balance runs low. This emphasizes both the savings and the newly acquired opportunities for existing and new customers.
Existing users can temporarily retain their subscription, but xAI has already announced that ultimately all customers will be transitioned to the new X Subscription, without providing a clear timeline. However, for Dutch customers, the conversions to euro prices are still awaiting confirmation, with current prices converted based on the exchange rate of the European Central Bank. Bundling these services into one subscription highlights xAI's ambition to provide an integrated product but also creates a dependency on one provider for users.
