GTC Berlin 2026: Keynote Highlights by Jensen Huang

During GTC Berlin, an event focused on advanced technologies such as AI and robotics, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang kicked off the keynote with a question about European companies working with NVIDIA on AI solutions. Companies like L’Oréal, Revolut, and Porsche are some of the partners with whom NVIDIA has committed an investment of nearly $10 billion in the European tech sector. Huang emphasized that we are on the brink of a new industrial revolution driven by artificial intelligence.

Huang introduced the concept of the 'AI factory', consisting of a five-layer infrastructure that integrates energy, advanced computing, and digital intelligence. He underscored that, just as the infrastructure for the internet had to exist before applications could emerge, companies must also prepare for AI technology now. Huang took the step further by announcing the NVIDIA DSX POD, a modular design that can reduce the implementation time of AI factories from six months to fourteen days.

Additionally, new developments in agent technology were discussed. Huang defined an agent as more than just a model and highlighted the importance of security in its use. NVIDIA introduced the OpenShell Reference Architecture, an open-source solution for secure AI agents that dynamically assigns privileges and policies. This ensures that agents can safely access necessary resources without unnecessary risks.

Huang also made it clear that NVIDIA's open models can serve as a foundation for developing AI solutions specifically tailored to the needs of businesses. With models like Nemotron and Cosmos, organizations can fine-tune their own data points to create unique AI solutions. By leveraging NVIDIA's open models, companies can gain transformative insights, enabling them to convert their data collection into what Huang calls 'sovereign intelligence'.
