Mistral expands with acquisition of Pimento
Mistral, the French AI company, has completed its third acquisition of this year with the purchase of Pimento. This acquisition allows Mistral to become active in the development and optimization of online marketing campaigns, marking a significant step in their evolution from a purely model-building company to a provider of practical business tools.
The acquisition follows earlier purchases of oyeb, which provides infrastructure, and Emmi AI, specialized in industrial simulation. With Pimento, Mistral adds a new tool to its portfolio, focused on generating high-converting advertisements. According to Mistral, this is a crucial step in broadening their role from mere model maker to delivering concrete software applications for businesses.
Pimento provides marketers the ability to create campaign messages based on briefings, brand identities, and historical performance. The tool also features a workflow for editing campaigns, ensuring ads are more complete and better prepared before publication. This helps teams not only work more efficiently but also enhance the effectiveness of their campaigns by utilizing previously stored data and guidelines.
While the exact acquisition price has not been disclosed, the value of Pimento is estimated to be around thirteen million euros. This acquisition underscores Mistral's ambitions to expand its offering and strengthen its role in the business tool market, with a focus on the practical implementation of AI-driven solutions.
