NVIDIA Introduces DSX Ready for AI Factories

NVIDIA has launched the DSX Ready program, designed to help builders of AI factories select suitable power and cooling solutions. With the growing infrastructure for artificial intelligence, there are increasing limitations regarding power, cooling, water, and network resources, impacting the deployment of these systems. The DSX Ready program provides clear guidelines for partner products that meet the requirements of the NVIDIA DSX AI factory reference designs.

At launch, the program includes two categories: battery energy storage systems (BESS) and cooling distribution units (CDU). Specific requirements and an assessment process for these categories enable builders to evaluate offerings with greater confidence, reduce integration risk, and accelerate deployment. By leveraging a common design and operations, the NVIDIA DSX AI factory can generate more usable AI output within the available power and cooling capacity.

DSX Ready links the product selection process directly to the relevant NVIDIA requirements, helping builders identify qualified offerings while allowing partners to demonstrate that a specific product meets the requirements for its category. Current DSX Ready qualifications include solutions from Hitachi Energy, LG Energy Solution, and Tesla for BESS, and from LG Electronics, LiquidStack, and Vertiv for CDUs. Future expansions of the program will include additional categories for infrastructure and software.

The DSX Ready program enables teams to focus on how qualified products fit within their specific site configurations and operational needs. This enhances the value of reference designs and creates a bridge to specific product selections, which is crucial for the success of AI factories.
