Strict deadline for heat pump installation and subsidy
The ISDE subsidy (Investment Subsidy for Sustainable Energy) for the installation of heat pumps will decrease significantly in 2027. As a result, the demand for the higher subsidy amount is increasing, leading to a substantial rise in requests for heat pump installations. However, to receive the current subsidy amount, private and business users must have their heat pumps installed before the end of the year.
The rising interest in heat pump technology can paradoxically lead to delays in the installation process. Installers and companies in the sector may be overwhelmed by the increased demand, resulting in longer waiting times for customers. This creates a risk that a significant number of applications may not be processed in time to qualify for the half subsidy.
The challenge is further compounded by the need to expand installer capacity and to train sufficient qualified personnel. This may require not only time but also resources, increasing pressure on the installation industry. The situation calls for careful coordination between supply and demand to ensure deadlines are met.
It is essential for both consumers and businesses to prepare adequately and engage an installer in a timely manner. For many, the consequence of not installing a heat pump on time could be significant, given the lower subsidy amounts that will come into effect after 2027. Continuously monitoring these developments is crucial for anyone investing in sustainable energy solutions.
